Ernest Borel Cocktail Kaleidoscope
Scarce Ernest Borel “Cocktail” men's Retro Modern design wristwatch in yellow gold plate, circa 1960.
Ernest Borel introduced its cocktail watch in the around 1953 featuring a mesmerizing rotating dial disk that creates a constant kaleidoscope effect. Red-tipped arrows under the outer edge of the rotating seconds disk display the hour and minutes. This larger men's model is quite scarce. It is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Areas of the case have developed an attractive patina. The case measures 41mm long and 32mm wide. Original dials are superb. Acrylic crystals are excellent. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Synchron caliber 26 manual wind movement, not serviced by me but running strong. Has original Synchron winding crown, and signed Synchron strap and buckle.
