Elgin Model E-9 14KG
Very rare Elgin “Model E-9” men’s Art Nouveau design wristwatch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1928.
The “Model E-9” has ornate Art Nouveau design stylized engravings on the bezel and case sides, and was priced at $55.00 in 1928. It is quite rare in solid green gold and this is the only example I have ever offered. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing almost no wear. Engraved designs are bold and crisp. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long and 27mm wide. Original factory new old stock black enamel painted numeral dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. Has original fancy engraved crown. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
