Uncommon Lord Elgin “Unidentifed” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1947.

This model has yet to be identified by Elgin specialists from existing catalogs and advertising. It was part of a group of watches that Elgin released in the first few years after the end of World War II. It shares the same case design as the pre-war "Model 4603" except this watch is all yellow gold fill, instead of yellow and pink like the 4603, and has a different dial design. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few microscopic specks of brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 23mm wide. Original two-tone dial is excellent, has brilliant gold inlaid numerals and markers.  Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 559 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
