Uncommon Lord Elgin "Prentice" men's Retro Modern design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1954.

The "Prentice" has a rectangular case with flared and angled lugs. Most often found in yellow, it is quite uncommon in white with a black dial. This example is in excellent condition with just a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners and the tips of the lugs. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 36mm long and 26mm wide. Factory-original two-tone black nickel-finish dial is superb, has solid 18k gold applied numerals and markers. Acrylic crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 670 manual wind movement, serviced a few years ago and still running strong.
