Scarce Elgin "Model 1270" men's Machine Age design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1935.
This smaller-sized men's model has an angled stainless steel case and was priced at $37.50 in 1935. It is a fairly scarce model due to its original high consumer price for a stainless steel model, and this is one of only a few I have ever offered. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 40mm long and 20mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original two-tone dial is excellent, has raised blue tracks and hour markers. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 483 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
Price $275. SOLD
