Elgin Model E-8 Engraved

Elgin “Model E-8 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1927.

The “Model E-8” was in the first group of factory-cased men’s wristwatches that Elgin offered starting around 1927. This version with the 15-jewel movement and luminous dial was priced at $47.50. It is in excellent condition showing only faint brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few light dings. The case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Factory original new old stock dial is superb, has new aged-look luminous. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $300. SOLD
