Gruen Quadron Model 50 14K

Rare Gruen "Quadron Model 50" men's Art Deco design presentation wristwatch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1926.

This Quadron model has engraved Art Deco designs on the bezel and sides of the case. It was priced at $100.00 in 1926 and is quite rare in green gold. This is only the second example I have ever offered. This example was presented on Christmas Day in 1926 by the famous Hotel McAlpin in Manhattan to valued employee. The hotel was eventually converted to luxury condominiums and is still operating. The watch is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is superb. Case measures 37mm long and 23mm wide. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen Precision grade 117 Quadron manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has original green gold-filled crown.

Price $1,100. SOLD
