Elgin “Legionnaire 423” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.

The "Legionnaire 423" has Art Deco engravings on the bezel and case sides with black inlay. It was priced at $29.50 in 1929. It is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved. Case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Factory-original new-old-stock dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals and new luminous. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 manual wind movement, serviced a few years ago and still running strong.
