Rare Hamilton “Merritt” men’s Machine Age wristwatch in 10K white gold fill, circa 1940.
The white “Merritt” was never listed in any Hamilton catalogues. It is very rare... Hamilton records show that only 702 were produced. It has a large rectangular beveled and stepped case with a curved caseback. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1940. This is the finest "Merritt" I have ever offered. It is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing and all of its brushed finish intact. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 27mm wide. Original two-tone dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
Price $975. SOLD
