Elgin Home Run 677

Uncommon Elgin “Home Run 677” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.

The “Home Run 677” has an eight-sided case and a dial with gold embossed numerals. It was priced to consumers at $37.50 in 1931. This example is in excellent condition with minor brassing in the corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 29mm wide. New old stock dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Glass crystal is excellent, with one scratch and one tiny chip. The watch is powered by a 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
