Elgin “States 679” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1931.
The "States 679" has Art Deco engravings on the bezel and case sides with black inlay. It was priced at $42.50 in 1931. It is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 35mm long and 28mm wide. Original dial is excellent, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Original green gold-filled crown is excellent, showing only light wear.
