Scarce Elgin “American Efficiency 451” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in two-tone 14K green and white gold fill, circa 1929.

A larger-size watch, the “American Efficiency 451” has fancy stylized Art Deco engraved designs on the bezel and lugs with the center case body being green and the bezel and caseback being white. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the lugs. Bezel engravings are crisp. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 31mm wide. Original two-tone dial is excellent with slight patina. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has original green gold filled stepped crown.
