Hamilton Ardmore 14K
Scarce Hamilton “Ardmore” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1935.
The “Ardmore” was in Hamilton's first group of 14/0-size watches and was announced to dealers on May 1, 1935 and priced at $100.00. This example has a very early movement serial number which dates it to the very first year of production... 1935. It is in excellent condition showing light wear. Curved caseback is excellent, with a name engraving. The case measures 38mm long and 22mm wide. Original inlaid enamel dial is very good, has solid 18K gold applied markers. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
