Elgin “Home Run 472” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
The “Home Run 472” has cushion-shaped case with Art Deco geometric designs on the bezel and case sides. It was priced to consumers at $39.75 in 1931. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is excellent, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
