Uncommon Hamilton “Carson” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1935.

The “Carson” was among the first group of Hamilton watches with the new 14/0-size grade 980 movement and was advertised as curved to fit the wrist. It was priced to consumers at $52.50 in 1935. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only tiny specks of brassing at the tips of the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a faint scratch. The case measures 38mm long and 23mm wide. Original inlaid enamel dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals with some fantastic deep orange patina. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement with early serial number, just serviced and running strong.

Price $300. SOLD
