Scarce Hamilton “Cameron” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1940.

The "Cameron" has a sleek curved bezel and last appeared in the 1940 catalog. It was priced at $80.00 in 1940. This example has a very early grade 982M movement with the early wide damaskeene pattern and a low 4-digit serial number dating from the end of 1940. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved with some small dings. Case measures 37mm long and 22mm wide. Original dial is excellent with some patina, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982M manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
