Extremely rare Gruen “Swiss Quadron” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 18K green gold, circa 1933.

In addition to the Quadron models cased in the United States, Gruen also cased Quadrons in Switzerland for import into the United States as complete watches, and also for distribution in Europe. This model has a heavy two-piece hinged 18K case with Swiss and German hallmarks. This is the only example I have ever seen of this Gruen Quadron model. It came from an old New Orleans estate and is extremely rare. It is in crisp excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 37mm long and 24mm wide. Refinished inlaid enamel dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied Breguet numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen Quadroon grade 119  manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $2,350. SOLD
