Elgin Unknown Model
Elgin “Unknown Model” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1947.
I haven't found an advertisement for this late 1940s model yet, but it is a properly-signed factory-cased model. It is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with only a tiny amount of wear in the corners. Case measures 34mm long and 22mm wide. New old stock two-tone dial has gold inlaid exploding numerals. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 557 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
