Lord Elgin Aberdeen 14K
Very scarce Lord Elgin “Aberdeen” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1956.
The “Aberdeen” has a cross-hatched bezel engraved bezel and an X-patterned two-tone dial. It is a very scarce model and this is only the second example I have ever offered. It was priced at $100.00 in 1956. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent, with a presentation engraving. Case measures 38mm long and 23mm wide. Original two-tone dial is superb, has solid gold applied numerals and markers. Has new domed acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 713 manual wind movement, serviced a few years ago and still running strong.
