Very scarce Hamilton "Ross" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K coral gold fill with original boxes and tags, circa 1939.

Hamilton produced coral (pink) wristwatches for only a year or two around the beginning of World War II... all models in pink are scarce due to their limited time in production. The coral “Ross” with the two-tone dial was priced to consumers at $52.50 in 1939. This example has its original rare brown-lined ivory plastic inner box and blue cardboard outer box with tags matching the movement and case serial numbers. Based on the movement serial number, it is likely from the first year coral watches were offered... 1939. It is in crisp, excellent condition with just a few specks of brassing to the lugs. Caseback is superb, with most of its factory-applied brushed finish. Case measures 37mm long and 24mm wide. Original two-tone coral finish dial has brilliant gold inlaid exploding Roman numerals. Dial has a few light marks. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Correct original inner and outer boxes are excellent.
