Elgin Engraved Square
Elgin “Engraved Square” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1926.
This watch has a simple square case made by Fahys with an ornately engraved bezel and an unusual Swiss-supplied dial with gold flush numerals and decorative bright silver center section. It is in excellent condition with just a little brassing in the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent, with engraved initials. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Original dial is very good, with some moderate patina. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by a 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
