Lord Elgin Rochester
Scarce Lord Elgin "Rochester" men's Mid-Century Modern design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1955.
The "Rochester" has hooded lugs and a fantastic black and silver bull's eye dial. It was priced at $89.50 in 1955 and is fairly scarce. This example is in excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 40mm long and 33mm wide. Original two-tone bull's eye dial is excellent. Has new acrylic crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 680 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
