Illinois “New Yorker” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1929.
With its unusual horizontally-oriented case and ocean wave designs engraved along its sides, the “New Yorker” is a very eye-catching design. The “New Yorker” was priced to consumers at $50.00 in 1929. This example is in excellent condition with no brassing to the bezel, which is unusual. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few small specks of wear. The case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Original dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Illinois grade 607 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
Price $400. SOLD
