Rare Elgin “Model 1622” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold with original bracelet, circa 1930.

Normally seen as the “Model 1602” with a leather strap, the case design was also sold as the "Model 1622" with a factory-supplied Kreisler white gold-filled mesh bracelet. It was priced at $60.00 in 1930, and this is the only example I have ever offered. The dial has unique gold embossed exploding numerals set against a subtle pebble-textured yellow background. It is in excellent condition showing only very slight wear. Bezel engravings are crisp and complete. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Original textured finish dial is excellent, has gold embossed exploding numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Original Kreisler bracelet is superb, will adjust to fit a wrist size of 6-7/8 to 7-3/8 inches.

Price $875. SOLD
