Lord Elgin "Model 4609" men's Retro Modern design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1942.
The "Model 4609" has a striking two-tone gilt and white finish dial and was priced at $62.50 in 1942. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent, with a name engraving and with a few specks of wear in the corners. The case measures 38mm long and 22mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original two-tone dial is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 559 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
