Scarce Hamilton “WWII Cushion B” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1941.

The “Cushion B” was originally introduced around 1930 with a 987-F movement. But from 1941 to 1949, Hamilton produced a small run of the “Cushion B” using leftover 1920s grade 986 and 986A movements... perhaps as a means to move unsold obsolete movements and have some limited amount of watches to offer for sale to consumers while the factory was focused mainly on war production, and then recovery. Hamilton records indicate that only about 2,000 were produced, making it quite scarce. This example is in excellent condition with light brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 34mm long and 28mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 986A manual wind movement, just serviced and running well.
