Elgin Thrift 434
Elgin "Thrift 434" men's Machine Age design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1933.
The "Thrift 434" has a large, round case with a stepped bezel and caseback. This second-generation version of the "Thrift 434" features an updated all-black marker dial with blued steel hands. It is in excellent condition showing some light wear along the edges of the center casebody. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 32mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
