Very scarce Hamilton “Cushion” men’s Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K green gold, circa 1923.
The "Cushion" was Hamilton's first 6/0-size men's wristwatch and was introduced in 1922. It is very scarce in solid green gold, with only 2,769 produced. This is the less common early case variation produced by Fahys with the engine-turned "Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster, PA" case signature. Later versions of the case were produced by Wadsworth. It was priced at $75.00 in 1923. This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. The unpolished case still retains its deep green color. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 986A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
