Hamilton “Boulton” men’s Streamlined Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1948.
Introduced in 1940, the “Boulton” was catalogued into the mid-1960s and was likely Hamilton's best-selling model. It was priced at $71.50 in 1948. It was named for Fred Boulton, one of Hamilton's sales managers. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with only a few tiny specks of brassing to the tips of the lugs. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with its factory-applied brushed finish. Case measures 39mm long and 28mm wide. Original dial superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 19-jewel Hamilton grade 982 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
Price $300.
