Rare Gruen "Enamel Tank" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K green gold with black enamel bezel, circa 1925.
This Gruen was catalogued as "Strap Number 7" and has an Art Deco line and dot pattern on the bezel inlaid with hard black enamel. It was priced at $75.00 in 1925. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing only very light wear. Black enamel is superb and complete. Caseback is superb and unengraved. The case measures 32mm long and 24mm wide. Inlaid enamel dial is excellent, with some faint patina. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen Precision grade 98 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
