Elgin "Model 6606" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1942.

The “Model 6606 Service Watch” was advertised as suitable for service men. It was priced to consumers at $39.75 in 1942. This example is in  crisp, excellent condition with almost no wear, just a few faint marks. The case has all of its original factory-applied alternating polished and brushed finishes. Caseback is superb, with a name engraving. The case measures 33mm long and 29mm wide. Acrylic crystal is excellent. Two-tone silver and white finish dial is very good, with some spotting. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 532 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has vintage canvas strap with steel buckle and keepers.

Price $275. SOLD
