Very rare Waltham “Paramount Pictures Pep Club” men’s Art Deco design presentation wristwatch in solid 18K white gold with blue enamel bezel, circa 1930.
This fantastic Art Deco masterpiece was presented to Eddie Brown, president of the Paramount Pictures Pep Club, at its Inaugural Dinner at the Hotel Astor in New York City on Thursday, October 16, 1930. The article reproduced below describes the presentation of this watch to Brown. This is a very rare Waltham watch and is one of only four examples I have seen of this model. It has a spectacular lyre-shaped case with hinged lugs and is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback has the presentation engraving from the Paramount Pep Club to its president, Eddie Brown. The case measures 46mm long and 23mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has blue tracks and Waltham name. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Waltham manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
Price $3,500.
