Hamilton Raleigh Engraved 2
Scarce Hamilton “Raleigh Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1930.
This is the first version of the “Raleigh Engraved” and has an Art Deco stylized keystone pattern engraved on the bezel, and the unusual Gothic black numeral dial (dial No. 055 according to Hamiltons records). Only 4,933 examples of the engraved "Raleigh" were produced in white. This example is in excellent condition with only a very small amount brassing to the bezel corners. The caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 39mm long and 29mm wide. Refinished dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
