Lord Elgin Model 4802
Rare Lord Elgin "Model 4802" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1947.
This version of the "Model 4802" has a dial with a pastel green hour field on a silver background. It is a very rare dial, and Elgin used this striking color combination on only few models in the 1940s. The watch is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a thin line of wear near the winding crown. The case measures 34mm long and 26mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 556 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
