Lord Elgin Model 2805 14K

Very scarce Lord Elgin “Streamline 2805” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1937.

The “Model 2805" has a large, tonneau-shaped case and was priced at $85.00 in 1937. It is one of the largest solid gold models Elgin produced and is very scarce; this is only the fourth example I have offered in 20 years. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear and a few light marks to the gold case. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 25mm wide. Original two-tone dial is excellent, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct Elgin 21-jewel grade 531 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
