Very scarce Hamilton "Endicott" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1938.

The "Endicott" has become extremely collectible since it was worn by actor Cillian Murphy in the "Oppenheimer" movie. This is the very earliest version which was introduced in October of 1938 with thin, rectangular black hashmarks at the hour positions. This dial was offered only a year or so until replaced by the version with triangular hashmarks. It is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent, with a monogram and a few tiny dings. The case measures 38mm long and 29mm wide. Has new crystal. Original two-tone dial has solid 18K applied numerals. Dial and hands show some areas of patina. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987A manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
