Uncommon Elgin "Model 2412" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in chrome and steel, circa 1937.

The "Model 2412" was in the very last group of Elgin wristwatches offered with the 4/0-size movement. It was priced at $17.50 in 1937. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing all of its factory-applied brushed and polished finishes. Steel caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some very faint dings. Case measures 38mm long and 29mm wide. Original dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Glass crystal is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
