Hamilton “Carlisle” men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill with original boxes and guarantee booklet, circa 1938.
The "Carlisle" has a very long, curved and stepped case, and was priced to consumers at $52.50 in 1938. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. The beveled angles of the bezel are sharp and distinct. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 43mm long and 21mm wide. Original dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has original inner and outer boxes and guarantee booklet with serial numbers matching movement and case.
