Hamilton Tonneau Engraved 14KW
Very scarce Hamilton “Tonneau Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1929.
With its large distinctive case and ornate engravings, the “Tonneau” is one of the classic Hamilton designs from the 1920s. It was priced to consumers at $87.00 in 1929 and only 1,312 were produced in solid white gold. This example is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent with a monogram. Case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
