Lord Elgin Streamline 2803 2

Rare Lord Elgin “Streamline 2803” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1938.

The “Streamline 2803" has a large, rectangular case and was priced at $85.00 in 1938. It is one of the largest solid gold models Elgin produced and is quite rare; this is only the second example I have offered in 20 years. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few small dings. The case measures 42mm long and 25mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is superb, has gold embossed numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 531 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $625.
