Hamilton Brooke
Scarce "Hamilton Brooke" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K yellow gold fill, circa 1938.
The "Brooke" has a wedge-shaped, inclined design case which the tilts the dial to make the time easier to read. It was priced at $52.50 in 1938. It is a scarce model and this is the first I have offered in several years. It is in excellent condition showing only light brassing to the top of the lugs. The caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a touch of wear at the opening tab. The case measures 40mm long and 23mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original two-tone dial is excellent, has solid 18K applied numerals. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
