Scarce Hamilton “Whitman” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1940.

The “Whitman” was offered only in the 1940 catalog, priced at $45.00. The 1941 catalog included an insert noting that the watch had been discontinued. It is in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny specks of brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny specks of wear in the corners. The case measures 38mm long and 22mm wide. Original inlaid enamel dial is excellent, has solid 18K gold applied numerals. Has new glass crystal. Watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 980 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
