Elgin Model 232

Very scarce Elgin "Model 232" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1932.

The "Touchdown 232" has a bezel with a hammered pattern and was priced at $32.50 in 1932. It shares the same casebody and caseback with the "Mermaid" and the "Touchdown 220" models. It is a very scarce watch and this is only the third one I have offered in 25 years. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 33mm long and 25mm wide. Original two-tone dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 447 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $300. SOLD
