Uncommon Elgin “Model 495” men’s Mchine Age design wristwatch in chromium nickel, circa 1934.

The “Model 495” has a flared, cushion-shaped case and was priced to consumers at $19.00 in 1934. This example is in excellent condition with only some light scratches to the case, and some wear under the lugs. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with no pitting. The case measures 34mm long and 30mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 485 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
