Elgin Pershing 9K

Very rare Elgin “Pershing” men’s Military design wristwatch in solid 9K yellow gold, circa 1919.

This watch has a solid 9K gold case made by the Keystone Watch Case Co. of Philadelphia, produced for export to England. This is the only American-made solid 9K case I have ever seen. Most American movements exported to Great Britain were cased by Dennison in Birmingham, England. It is excellent condition showing only very light wear. Hinged caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some light dings. The case measures 38mm long and 31mm wide. Original glass enamel dial is excellent, with some very faint hairlines. It is correctly marked "Made in U.S.A." above the seconds chapter. Glass crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 462 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $975.
