Scarce Hamilton “Whitney” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1931.
The “Whitney” has a very striking flared and stepped case... its dramatic design and low production make it among the most desirable of the early 1930s Hamilton models. It is a scarce model, with only 4,136 produced in white. It was priced to consumers at $55.00 in 1933. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners and lug tips. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few tiny wear spots in the corners and a few tiny dings. The case measures 36mm long and 30mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Refinished dial is superb. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong. Has original flat winding crown.
