Elgin "Jobber Case" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow rolled gold plate and steel, circa 1934.
The larger-sized jobber-made case is one of the many designs offered by mail-order jewelers to re-purpose Elgin movements. It has a large, curved case with a radiator grill design and curved lugs. It is crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with some faint scuffs. The case measures 43mm long and 24mm wide. Original dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by a 7-jewel Elgin grade 488 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
