Elgin Miami
Scarce Elgin "Miami" men's Mid-Century Modern design wristwatch in stainless steel, circa 1954.
The "Miami" has a large, round case with a grooved bezel and a two-tone black bullseye dial. It was priced at $52.50 in 1954 and is quite scarce with a black dial. This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Screwdown caseback is excellent, with some light scratches. The case measures 40mm long and 33mm wide. Has new acrylic crystal. Original satin black nickel finish dial has a subtle brushed center circular section creating a two-tone bullseye effect. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 629 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
