Hamilton Roger 14K

Scarce Hamilton “Roger” men’s Retro Modern design presentation wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1955.

The “Roger” is one of the scarcest of the 1950s solid gold tank-styled Hamilton watches. This is the only example I have ever offered. It has an extremely avant-garde styled case with sharply angled lugs and is unlike anything else produced by Hamilton. It was priced at $135.00 in 1955. This example is in excellent condition showing only very slight wear. The angled case edges are well-defined. Caseback is excellent, with a Hamilton factory-etched presentation for 25 years of service to the Sealed Power Corporation of Muskegon, Michigan. The case measures 37mm long and 25mm wide. Refinished dial is superb, has solid 18K gold applied numerals and markers. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 22-jewel Hamilton grade 770 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $950. SOLD
